Grown and fabricated in Mexico, cactus leather was developed by Adrián López Velarde and Marte Cázarez, creators of Desserto. As a cactus-based sustainable material, it is made by harvesting cactus mature leaves and extracting proteins and fibers to make an organic bio resin which then is coated on a carrier.

Cactus leather is highly sustainable and reduces the use of natural resources. This smooth and flexible cactus material is free of toxic chemicals, phthalates, and PVC. It is a durable and biodegradable vegan material revolutionizing the fashion industry.
